OUR VISION:
This initiative is named “Welcome Angels,” with the aim to show radical love and hospitality in Christ, to care for the practical, social, and spiritual needs of the newcomers.
OUR MISSION: Connecting & Referring
Our mission is to welcome and receive anyone who has recently settled in Canada.
Connect and refer the newcomers to the local Welcome Angels as their helpers and the local welcoming Church as their community.
OUR FAITH:
We are often called angels when we help someone in need. So, we call every individual who shares the good cause and is willing to help the newcomers “Welcome Angels.”
They may not know it, but newcomers are angels to us, and they are angels to other people in need.
Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Heb 13:2
Our prayer for newcomers: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
Our prayer for Welcome Angels and Welcoming Churches: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight. Phil 1:9

HISTORY:
The Welcome Church Initiative is a response to the continuous influx of immigrants from Hong Kong to Canada. Then we responded to the war in Ukraine, and many Ukrainians flee to come to Canada.
Many of these immigrants are desperate about the uncertain situation of their home countries and leave their homes without much preparation and support. At the same time, they struggle to adapt to an entirely new environment.
There must be some newcomers around us who looking for friendship and help. Our goal is to encourage welcome angels and welcoming churches to find the newcomers in their context and welcome them in their midst.
We believe that we are stronger together to create a culture of radical love and hospitality that give newcomers a sense of hope and peace.
我們的異象:
我們歡迎與接待的事工名為 “接待天使” 。我們的理念是在基督裏向他們展示熱誠的歡迎和愛心的接待。
去關心他們的實際，社交和屬靈的需要。這是上帝的呼召，叫我們與這班新朋友一起同行。
在這片新土地上找到希望，喜樂和平安，讓這片新土地成為他們的家。
我們的使命： 聯繫與轉介
沒有一個人需要獨自面對，所以我們的使命是接待每一個新來加拿大的人。
聯繫與轉介新來加的朋友，認識當地能夠幫助到他們的接待天使和歡迎教會。
我們不能獨自做這個工作，所以我們希望與其他教會分享這異象，讓他們也成為歡迎人的教會。
我們一起去建立一個跨加拿大各省的網絡。以致我們真正能夠幫助到，願意來到加拿大的朋友。
我們的信念:
我們常常聽見別人稱幫助他的人為天使。所以我們稱每一個願意接待新來加的朋友為接待天使。
我們接待新來加的朋友時，不知不覺接待了天使。
因為我們這班新朋友，實在是我們生命中的天使。
他們的故事，他們的勇氣和毅力，他們很多時帶給我們生命啟發和感動。
他們亦都會不知不覺成為別的有需要的人生命中的天使。
不可忘記用愛心接待客旅，因為曾有接待客旅的，不知不覺就接待了天使。希伯來書13:2
為新移加的朋友禱告: 但願使人有盼望的 神、因信、將諸般的喜樂平安、充滿你們的心、使你們藉著聖靈的能力、大有盼望。羅馬書 5:13

背景:
有見大量移居加拿大的移民，他們有些沒有足夠的準備和支持。離開他們的原居地實在不容易，更加要面對適應新環境的挑戰。
在一個新的國家安頓下來並不容易。有很多新的東西需要學習，要尋找新的資訊，會遇到很多新的朋友。
但是你不需要一個人需要獨自面對。我們希望與您建立聯繫，我們來自當地歡迎教會的接待天使, 將與您一起同行。 希望在這片你可以稱之為家的新土地上，找到希望和愛。歡迎你們來到加拿大。
